Your organization's settings in allmates.ai are more than just administrative details; they form the foundational context for every interaction that happens within your environment. A well-configured organization profile ensures clarity for human members and provides crucial high-level guidance for all Mates, improving the relevance and accuracy of their contributions.

Accessing Organization Settings

Only users with the Admin or Super Admin role can access and edit organization settings.

  1. In the top-left corner of the interface, click the downward arrow next to your organization's name.

  2. From the dropdown menu that appears, select "Organization settings".

On the settings page, you can configure the following key details:

1. Organization Name

This is the primary identifier for your company within allmates.ai. It appears at the top of the sidebar for all members.

  • How to Edit: Simply type the new name into the "Organization name" field.

2. Organization Icon

The icon provides a quick visual reference for your organization, making it easily identifiable.

  • How to Edit: Click on the default icon to open an emoji picker. Select an emoji that best represents your brand or company culture.

3. Organization Description (Crucial for AI Context)

The description is the most critical field for optimizing AI performance. The text you enter here serves as a high-level "prime directive" for every Mate in your organization. They use this context to understand:

  • Your company's mission and core business.

  • Your primary goals and objectives.

  • Your industry, key products, and target audience.

  • The overall tone and style of communication to adopt.

  • How to Edit: Write a clear and detailed summary in the "Description" text box.

  • Best Practice: Be as descriptive as possible. A well-crafted description directly leads to more relevant, accurate, and context-aware responses from your Mates.
