We're announcing a major update to the allmates.ai platform that simplifies how Mates are structured, making them both easier to use and much more flexible.
What's New?
Effective December 17, 2025, we're saying goodbye to the four distinct Mate types (Native, Assistant, Web Search, Image-gen). From now on, all Mates will be the Native type.
Specialized capabilities like web search, document analysis, or image generation aren't going away; they are now provided by Tools that you can attach to any Mate.
Seamless migration for you: Your existing Mates will be automatically updated.
An Assistant will become a Native Mate + the
Code InterpreterTool.A Web Search mate will become a Native Mate + the
Web SearchTool.An Image-gen mate will become a Native Mate + the
Image StudioTool.
No action is required on your part, and your Mates will retain all their functionalities.
