How to Rename a Mate

In allmates.ai, keeping your virtual agents' identities aligned with their evolving roles is essential for maintaining clear and professional collaboration. This guide explains how to quickly rename any of your Mates.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Access Mates Management: Navigate to the Mates & Tools section in the main sidebar.

  2. Select Your Mate: Find and click on the Mate you wish to rename from your list.

  3. Open the Actions Menu: Click on the chevron icon (v) located immediately to the right of the Mate's current name in the header.

  4. Choose Rename: From the dropdown menu, select the Rename option.

  5. Update the Name: A modal will appear. Type the new name for your Mate into the input field.

  6. Save Changes: Click the Save button to confirm the update.

Key Considerations

  • Immediate Update: The name change is reflected instantly across the entire platform, including the chat headers, workspace lists, and system logs.
