Service notices and maintenance
Understand the status banner and the maintenance page, and what to do when you see them.

Sometimes the app shows a banner at the top, or a maintenance page instead of your workspaces. They tell you about an incident, a planned maintenance or an update. This article explains what you see and what to do. It is for every member.
The status banner
A status banner is a colored line at the very top of the app, above everything else.
The color shows how important the notice is:
The banner can also show:
- A date, after the message, for example the start of a planned maintenance.
- A link, to read more about the notice.
Announced maintenance
Before a planned maintenance, an orange banner announces it, with the date and time of the start. Save your work and plan around that time. When the maintenance starts, the maintenance page replaces the app.
Close a banner
When you have read the notice, click the close button (×) at the right of the banner.
The maintenance page
During a maintenance, the app shows the page Maintenance in Progress instead of your workspaces and conversations. You cannot use the app until the maintenance ends.
The page shows:
- A message about the maintenance. Without a message, it reads "Our app is currently undergoing maintenance to serve you better."
- Estimated return: the time when the app should be back, when one is known.
- Logout: signs you out.
When the maintenance ends, the app comes back by itself. You do not need to reload the page.
Good to know
- If the app shows errors and no banner explains them, contact your organization admin or the allmates.ai support.
