🎬 Conversation Replay

Conversation Replay is a powerful presentation feature available on the desktop version of allmates.ai. It allows you to replay any conversation — with your teammates or your Mates — step by step, turning your chat history into a clean, distraction-free presentation.

⚠️ Desktop only: The Conversation Replay feature is currently available exclusively on the desktop (computer) version of allmates.ai. It is not available on mobile devices.

Why Use Conversation Replay?

Whether you want to showcase how a Mate solved a complex problem, train a new team member, or present results in a meeting, Conversation Replay gives you full control over how your conversation is displayed — without the distraction of the app's navigation interface.

How to Start a Replay

  1. Open any existing conversation from your desktop computer.

  2. Click the Replay button (▶ Play icon) located in the top-right corner of the conversation.

  3. Select your preferred replay mode from the dropdown menu.

  4. Use the ← → arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate between messages.

  5. Press Esc at any time to exit Replay mode and return to the normal interface.

The 3 Replay Modes

1. 📄 Whole Conversation

Replays the entire conversation from start to finish automatically. Best for getting a quick overview of how a project or discussion unfolded.

2. 🖱️ Message by Message

Gives you full manual control. Each press of the arrow key reveals the next message. Ideal for detailed walkthroughs where you want to explain each step to your audience.

3. 🎥 Film Mode

The most immersive mode. The entire application navigation interface disappears, leaving only the conversation content on screen. Perfect for presentations and meetings where you want your audience fully focused on the messages, charts, and data — with zero distractions.

Tips & Best Practices

  • 🧹 Clean your context before replaying: Use the Hide feature to hide irrelevant messages before starting a replay, so your audience only sees the most relevant content.

  • 📌 Pin key messages: Pin important conclusions or decisions before your presentation so they are easy to reference.

  • 🎥 Use Film Mode for meetings: When presenting on a shared screen, Film Mode removes all UI distractions and keeps the focus entirely on the conversation content.

  • 🖱️ Use Message by Message for training: This mode lets you pause and explain each step, making it ideal for onboarding new team members.
