Switch between your organizations, join or create one, and find the right address for your company.

An organization is the space of your company in allmates.ai: its members, workspaces, Mates, tools and models. One person can belong to several organizations. Some companies also have a dedicated instance (Enterprise), at their own address. This article explains how to switch between organizations and how to find the right address for your company. It is for every member, and for the admins who help their team connect.

What stays inside an organization

A member of organization A sees nothing of organization B, unless they are also a member of organization B.

The address of a page includes the organization, for example https://app.allmates.ai/o/your-org. When you share a link to a conversation, only the members of that organization who have access to the conversation can open it.

Switch to another organization

If you belong to several organizations, you switch from the organization switcher.

  1. At the top of the left sidebar, click the name of your current organization.
  2. The switcher opens. It shows the current organization first, then your other organizations.
  3. Click the organization you want to open.

The app opens the selected organization. Your workspaces, conversations and Mates change to those of that organization.

When you belong to many organizations, the switcher shows a Filter organizations box. Type part of a name to find an organization.

Join or create an organization

The switcher also shows:

  • Pending invitations, with a counter, when an organization invited you. Click it to open the Invitations page and accept an invitation. A red dot on the organization's avatar tells you that an invitation waits.
  • Create new org., to create a new organization. You become its Owner.

Owners and Admins also see Settings next to the organization name. It opens the organization settings.

Addresses

Which address to use

Most organizations use allmates.ai at https://app.allmates.ai.

A dedicated instance is available with the Enterprise offer. It has its own address, usually https://<your-company>.allmates.ai. Your admin or your allmates.ai contact gives you this address. See "Using a dedicated instance".

Always use the address where your organization lives. An account at one address does not exist at the other addresses. If you sign in at the wrong address, you do not see your organization. Your organizations at another address do not appear in the organization switcher either.

Good to know

  • If a colleague sends you a link that does not open, check that it starts with the address of your organization.
